About Dr. McCue
Dr. McCue is a chiropractor, clinical leader, educator, and animal chiropractic advocate whose work has been shaped by a deep interest in how bodies move, adapt, and respond to the demands placed on them.
Her experience spans a wide range of people, ages, lifestyles, and physical demands—from children, parents, and older adults to desk workers, tradespeople, first responders, artists, athletes, veterans, adaptive athletes, and individuals recovering from significant injuries.
That breadth matters because Dr. McCue does not believe movement or performance belongs to one type of person.
A body can be asked to sit at a desk for eight hours, carry children, work a physically demanding shift, teach yoga, compete at a high level, navigate an adaptive body, ride a horse, or simply carry someone through the routines and responsibilities of everyday life.
Her work has consistently centered on understanding those demands and helping people better understand and care for the bodies carrying them through their lives.
In addition to McCue Chiropractic, Dr. McCue serves as Area Clinical Director and Compliance Coordinator across multiple chiropractic and rehabilitation clinics serving federal government employees through U.S. Department of Labor programs. In that role, she personally assesses and treats federal government employees while directing the clinical rehabilitation side of the organization—creating the systems, programs, standards, and clinical processes used across its clinics and providers.
That work places Dr. McCue in a uniquely broad clinical environment: treating patients with significant and complex needs while determining how effective, high-quality chiropractic rehabilitation is structured, taught, and delivered across an organization. Her experience with federal employees, veterans, adaptive athletes, injured patients, and physically demanding populations continues to deepen the clinical perspective she brings into every area of her work.
McCue Chiropractic is one of the ways Dr. McCue brings that experience home to her own community.
She wanted the depth of clinical thought, musculoskeletal expertise, and patient-centered decision-making that shape her work across larger healthcare environments to also be available to the broader Dallas community.
The parent carrying a child every day. The firefighter finishing another shift. The professional spending hours behind a desk. The artist working with their body in ways most people never think about. The athlete training because they love it. The older adult who intends to stay active. The person who takes their health seriously long before something forces them to.
Why McCue Chiropractic Exists
Every body deserves healthcare that is skilled, evidence-informed, educational, and empowering—and McCue Chiropractic is Dr. McCue’s way of contributing that kind of care to her community.
Dr. McCue frequently meets people who have lived with the same pain, stiffness, restriction, or change in function for so long that it has simply become part of the story they tell about their body.
“I've always had a bad back.”
“That's just part of getting older.”
“My neck hurts because I sit at a desk all day.”
“That's just how my body is.”
Ask someone living with pain whether they would choose to live without it, and the answer is almost always yes.
What often follows is the belief that they do not really have a choice
Dr. McCue wants people to question that assumption.
Pain, stiffness, and functional limitations can have many causes, and not every problem is preventable or completely correctable. But many people live with musculoskeletal complaints for years without ever being given a clear understanding of what may be contributing to them, what conservative options are available, or what may reasonably be changed.
Dr. McCue believes people deserve the opportunity to understand their bodies before deciding what they are willing to accept.
Because something being common does not make it normal.
Being able to live around discomfort does not mean that discomfort has to become part of someone's identity.
And someone does not have to be unable to work, exercise, parent, create, travel, train, or enjoy their life before the way their body feels becomes worth addressing.
McCue Chiropractic gives people a place to better understand what their body is doing, learn what options are available to them, and make informed choices about how they want to care for it.
Care That Fits Real Life
Dr. McCue believes every clinical recommendation comes with a responsibility. It is not enough for a recommendation to make sense clinically; it also has to make sense in the life of the person receiving it. A plan can be excellent on paper and still be the wrong plan if it cannot realistically be carried out.
That is why patient-centered care, for Dr. McCue, means asking more than “What could we do?” It means asking, “What actually matters most for this person, their presentation, and the outcome they want?”
There may be many things that could help, but good care requires knowing what is necessary, what is likely to create the greatest value, and what is optional depending on the person's goals, capacity, and priorities. Dr. McCue's role is to make those distinctions clear, explain what different choices can reasonably be expected to accomplish, and give the patient the information they need to decide what they want to pursue.
That decision-making continues throughout care. Dr. McCue knows when consistency is appropriate and when a change in presentation, response, or goals means the plan should change with the patient.
The plan is built around what is clinically meaningful for that individual. Care should be specific enough to matter, efficient enough to sustain, and realistic enough to fit the life that body is living.
McCue Animal Chiropractic
One of the most common questions Dr. McCue hears is: “Why would an animal need chiropractic care?”
The answer starts with something most people already understand from their own bodies: being able to do something does not always tell us how that body feels while doing it.
A person can still work a full day with back pain, run until a knee begins hurting, or carry a child despite a shoulder that aches every time. Function can remain intact even when comfort, movement quality, or tolerance has changed.
Animals are no different—except they cannot tell us. And many instinctively mask pain, adjusting how they move so subtly that a problem can go unnoticed until clearer signs begin to show.
When that happens, two things can occur:
the original pain or dysfunction continues
the body adapts around it, shifting stress onto other areas and asking them to move or work differently
What makes this especially difficult for owners is that the signs are not always obvious—or even recognized as signs. A posture, movement pattern, behavior, or habit may simply become part of how someone knows their animal. And even when something does change, the owner may not realize what that change is communicating about how their animal’s body is feeling or functioning.
That is why Dr. McCue places such a strong emphasis on musculoskeletal examination, movement assessment, and motion palpation with owner education to identify restrictions and compensatory patterns—and help owners better understand what their animal’s body may be communicating.
Owners deserve skilled, evidence-informed care that helps them become more informed advocates for their animals.
McCue Animal Chiropractic is grounded in Dr. McCue’s Animal Science degree with a concentration in Equine Science from Colorado State University, her Doctor of Chiropractic education, and post-doctoral Animal Chiropractic training at Parker University.
Her commitment to animal care extends beyond individual appointments. McCue Animal Chiropractic hosts workshops across DFW to help owners better understand how their animals move, recognize meaningful patterns, and support mobility at home.
Dr. McCue is also the founder of Animal Chiropractic Collective, an organization dedicated to strengthening the future of animal chiropractic through education, mentorship, collaboration, professional connection, and student leadership. Through the Collective, she works with chiropractic students and emerging animal chiropractic practitioners across the country to expand access to education and help build a more connected path into the profession.
Whether educating an owner or helping develop a future practitioner, the goal is the same: to create more informed advocates for the animals who depend on them.
